The Winnipeg Police Service’s Holiday Checkstop Program is expected to begin tonight. Winnipeg Police will be out in higher numbers than usual to catch drunk drivers.
Police will be stationing all around the city especially near bars, night clubs, and even big parties. They also learned from last year that people try to take side streets to avoid the check stops. There will be various officers patrolling side streets near bars as well.
Be smart Winnipeg… don’t drink and drive!! It’s a criminal offence and a very expensive ticket. Even worse, it can cost you your life or someone else’s.

– Duffy’s Taxi
