Winnipeg Transit ridership continues to climb with the city’s growth. And with the recent fare hikes, Winnipeg Transit is ready to do major expansion to service the community.
Winnipeg Transit will be bringing more buses to the streets of Winnipeg as well as more routes.
The first step will be and expansion to Winnipeg Transit’s main Osborne Street headquarters this spring. A new transit corridor from Main Street to Jubilee Avenue will also open the fall of next year.
If Transit riders weren’t happy with the fare hikes last year, hopefully the news of more buses and routes, bus fare box upgrade, and BUXtxt show that your money is going to a good cause.
