The new James Armstrong Richardson International Airport Terminal is very near to completion (for real this time). Originally dubbed James 2010 and schedule for a December 2010 grand opening, the terminal launch date was pushed back due to leaking pipes underneath the building.
The Winnipeg Airport Authority expects to have an official launch date very soon. Oddly, the projects initial website, James2010.ca, has been taken down and now simply forwards to the WAA site. Perhaps it’s now called James 2011?
Regardless, it will be worth the wait! TGI Fridays for Winnipeggers will finally be possible without a long drive down south.
