When you think of paying via plastic, you think of a debit or credit card. By November 2011, that’s all going to change.

A new plastic $100 bill is scheduled to hit Canadian streets this November. In March 2012, a $50 bill will be added to the mix. The rest of the smaller bills will be introduced by the end of 2013.

The bills will now be made out of polymer-based plastic instead of paper. Canada wont be the first to start using plastic cash.

The benefits of having plastic cash is enhanced security, durability (wont rip as easy), and it will be a lot cleaner! Plastic cash is resistant to water, oil, sweat, dust and more.

So Canadian rappers, change your lyrics. You no longer making paper… you making plastic.
