Two more black bears have been killed by the RCMP at Grand Beach. One was killed last Thursday in the sand dunes, and the other on Monday when it came very close to a children’s play area.
This was the third time in a few weeks that the RCMP was forced to kill a Black Bear at Grand Beach.
The RCMP’s protocol is to kill any bears that travel too close to public areas. And with the dry weather we’re having, the bears have been having a hard time finding food which could lead to violent and aggressive behaviour.
