All fires, including campfires, have been banned from Eastern Manitoba Parks. With the dry weather this summer, the risk of a forest fire is too high.
The ban includes Whiteshell, North-West Angle and Sandilands parks. If you’re planning a camping trip to one of those in the next month, make sure to bring plenty of batteries for the flash light.
Burning permits have been cancelled and new ones will no longer be issued.
We’ve had an extremely under-rated summer. Mosquito’s were no where to be found and grass has been a steady brown colour do to the heat.
Let’s hope our winter is just as warm.
