Here it is Winnipeg! The last long weekend of the summer! Have anything special planned? For those planning to stay in the city, here’s a list of what’s open and what’s closed for September Long 2011.
Shopping
St. Vital Centre: Closed Monday, September 5
Polo Park Shopping Centre: Closed Monday, September 5
Kildonan Place: Closed Monday, September 5
City Place: Closed Monday, September 5
All civic offices will be closed on Monday, September 5, 2011.
Recycling/Garbage Schedule
Single-family homes
There will be no recycling or garbage collection on Monday, September 5. Collection will resume on Tuesday, September 6 – Day 2 on the five-day cycle.
Multi-family apartments
Recycling and garbage collection will continue as normally scheduled.
Brady Road Landfill hours of operation
Saturday, September 3 – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 4 – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Monday, September 5 – 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Libraries
Libraries are closed Monday, September 5. Visit Winnipeg.ca/library for online services of Winnipeg Public Library including online renewals, and downloadable eBooks and audiobooks. Call 311 for library hours and locations.
Animal Services Agency
Animal Services will be closed Monday, September 5. Regular weekend hours are in effect for Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4. Visit Winnipeg.ca/animalservices for more information on the City of Winnipeg Animal Services Agency including how to purchase or renew your dog license online and a list of dogs available for adoption.
Leisure Centres
All Leisure Centres are closed on Monday, September 5. Regular hours are in effect on Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4. Please see the Leisure Guide or visit Winnipeg.ca for Leisure Centre schedules.
Golf Courses

Pools
Indoor Pools
All indoor pools are closed on Monday, September 5 except Pan Am Pool which will open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Outdoor Pools
Weather permitting, the following four outdoor pools will be open on Saturday, September 3, Sunday, September 4 and Monday, September 5: Freight House, Kildonan Park, Fort Garry Lion’s and Westdale.

Spray Pads
Six unsupervised spray pads are open over the long weekend, at the following locations: Fort Rouge Park, Lindenwoods Community Centre, Provencher Park, River Heights Community Centre, St. Norbert Community Centre and River East Spray Pad.
Hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Winnipeg Transit
Monday, September 5, Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule. For Winnipeg Transit route and schedule information, please visit Winnipegtransit.com or call 311.
Cemeteries
