Drinking and driving is NEVER a good idea. Drinking and driving during the holidays is even worse. The Winnipeg Police Service has begun its 2011 Festive Season Check Stop program.
Through the month of December, including New Years Eve, there will be an increased presence of police officers on the streets. These officers will be targeting those drivers that CHOOSE to endanger the lives of others on our streets by driving while impaired.
Remember, names of drivers charged with impaired driving related offences will be made public!
