While us Winnipeggers are gearing up for a cold winter, nearly 1000 children will be without warm winter outerwear this season. United Way of Winnipeg’s Koats for Kids program is designed to provide children throughout the city with warm outerwear for the winter season.
They have already received over 970 orders… but unfortunately there aren’t enough donations to fill them. The need is urgent. Winnipeggers are urged to clean out thier closets and bring donations of new or gently used winter outerwear to any Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Station or Perth’s location immediately.
You can donate coats, ski pants, boots, mittens, hats and scarves in all sizes. For more information call Donna Albak at 586-KOAT (5628) or email Koats@UnitedWayWinnipeg.mb.ca. [KOATS FOR KIDS]
