St. Vital Centre, Winnipeg’s second largest shopping mall, will be getting a $10-million facelift this year.
The renovation includes:
– wood-like ceramic flooring
– new ceilings
– energy-efficient lighting
– new wall coverings in some areas
– food court changes
– installation of skylights in two wings of the mall
Shoppers are warned that the renovation will be in full effect very soon and it will get “pretty crazy” in the next little while.
Renovations are expected to be completed by November when Christmas 2012 shopping season begins. It will be 14 years since the malls last major renovation project. [WINNIPEGFREEPRESS]
