Rapid transit service on the Southwest Transitway is schedule to start this weekend on Sunday, April 8, 2012.
From 10am to 8pm on Thursday, April 5, 2012, the Rapid Transit system will be open and free to use for those wanting to give it a test ride.
Buses will run every 15 minutes between the University of Winnipeg and Pembina Highway at Windermere Avenue during the trial run. Once open, buses will travel at up to 80 km/h over the 3.6-km transitway.
