Once the 2012 Blue Bomber football season wraps up, the Canad Inns Stadium will be demolished to make way for new retail development. Target, who recently bought out Zellers, will be the lead tenant for the $30.5-million commercial development project.
Let’s hope there’s no further delays to the Investors Group Field or our Bombers will be homeless. No news on what will happen to the existing Zellers location at Polo Park which was originally supposed to be converted to a Target. [WINNIPEG SUN]
