The Walmart at Kenaston and McGillivray will be the first in Manitoba to get a Medical Clinic so shoppers can see a doctor during their weekly shopping run.
The clinic will have family physicians and also offer walk-in services. If you’ve ever been to a walk-in clinic, then you know exactly how long the wait could get. Being able to shop while you wait is going to be the amazing advantage of these clinics. You’ll receive a pager, then you’ll be able to grab a bite to eat at McDonald’s or do your weekly shopping. The pager will buzz 5 minutes before it’s your turn to see the doctor.
Kenaston and McGillivray’s Walmart clinic will be managed by Jack Nathan Health and operated by Nitan Arora. The move will definitely combat The Real Canadian Superstore, which already houses clinics at 4 of it’s locations. [CBC WINNIPEG]
