It’s official! IKEA announced today that it will be opening its 395,671-square-foot Winnipeg location on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 – just in time for the holidays.
– 55 inspirational room settings
– 2 full homes
– 650 seats in the restaurant
– 1619 parking spots
– 40 cash lanes
– 2,228 square foot play area for children
The Grand Opening ceremony, starting at 8:20 a.m. will feature entertainment, giveaways as well as appearances by special guests.
It will also mark the beginning of the Seasons of Tuxedo, which is 80 hectares of industrial land converted into a big-box retail/restaurant park.
IKEA isn’t only known for its furniture, their also famous for their affordable express lunches. Take a look at the menu here. The restaurant will be located on the second floor on entrance side and able to seat 650 people at a time. Meatballs for ALL!!!
