The annual Zombie Walk returns to Winnipeg this year on Saturday, October 13, 2012. If you’re driving through downtown this Saturday evening, have no fear…. you’ve haven’t entered a world of the undead.
The walk will be in support of Winnipeg Harvest and participants are encouraged to bring a non perishable food item. Henry’s Photography will be accepting $2 donations in exchange for getting a zombie photo taken – with proceeds going to Winnipeg Harvest.
The meeting time will be 6:30PM at Oodena Celebration Circle (Behind the Johnson Terminal at the Forks). The walk begins at 8PM. There will also be Fire Performers from 7:00PM to 7:55PM.
A few simple rules:
1. Respect all traffic laws
2. Stay on public property only
3. Stay off of vehicles
4. Do not enter private businesses
5. No drugs/alcohol
6. Do not touch anybody/strangers
7. Have fun!
Route:
Using Sidewalks > Start at the Oodena Celebration Circle in The Forks, then west along paths to Fort Gibraltar Trail, west on Fort Gibraltar Trail, north along the east side of Main St, west at Broadway crossing Main St. to the south side of Broadway, west along the south sidewalk of Broadway, ending at the Legislative Building (450 Broadway).
The Winnipeg Police will be assisting Zombies crossing at Main and Broadway. [WINNIPEG ZOMBIES]
