With the announcement of a 4th generation iPad, Apple has unleashed Factory Refurbished 3rd generation devices at its online store. There are only 3 key differences between the 3rd and 4th generation iPads:
– Faster processor (A6X chip vs A5X)
– Facetime HD Camera
– Lightning Connector (for charging/syncing)
The A5X chip on the 3rd generation is blazing fast already, and lightning connector accessories haven’t hit mainstream yet, so I wouldn’t recommend paying the extra for a 4th gen iPad.
