Cineplex Odeon McGillivray and VIP Cinemas has completed its renovations and will open to the public on November 2, 2012. Formerly a Cinema City ‘cheap seats’ theatre, the original 12 auditoriums has been converted to eight traditional auditoriums and three VIP cinemas. VIP cinemas will similar to dinner theatre where you are served at your seat. Concessions will include specialized offerings, including flatbread pizza, calamari, and yes… alcoholic beverages. A ticket to see a movie at the VIP cinema will be $17.50.
The theatre box office opens November 2nd at 3:30 p.m. at 2190 McGillivray Boulevard and will feature:
• 3 VIP 18+ licensed auditoriums
• Reserved seating
• In-seat food and beverage service
• Specialty foods, licensed lounge and more!
It is a first run theatre equipped with the latest cinema technology, including larger screens, Dolby digital surround sound, Christie Solaria Series DLP Cinema projectors and RealD 3D technology.
Those looking for second run cheap seats can head to the North Gate Cinema City location.
