It has been closed for a while now, but the City of Winnipeg has officially terminated a leasing agreement with Salisbury House which has occupied the iconic Esplanade Riel spot for the last 7 years. An advertisement has been placed in the Winnipeg Free Press inviting interested parties to submit written offers before 4pm on January 31, 2013.
Salisbury House is expected to put in another offer for the lease, and if the city doesn’t get a better offer from anyone else, it could mark the return of the popular restaurant chain. [WINNIPEG FREE PRESS]
