The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have unveiled the 2013 CFL schedule, which kicks off the entire CFL season on Thursday, June 27, 2013 with the grand opening of Investors Group Field against the Montreal Alouettes.
“We are extremely excited with the release of our schedule and we believe our fans have a lot to look forward to this upcoming season,” said Blue Bomber President and CEO Garth Buchko. “The fact that our team gets to host the first game of the year in all of the CFL is very exciting and we anticipate a great season both on the field and in the stands as kickoff the inaugural season at our new stadium, Investors Group Field, in 2013.”
The team will host three of its first five games at home, including back-to-back matchups against the defending Grey Cup champion Toronto Argonauts on Friday, July 19 and defending west division champion Calgary Stampeders on Friday, July 26.
The Blue Bombers will also play five Friday night games, one Thursday night game, two Saturday afternoon games as well as the Manitoba Lotteries Banjo Bowl on Sunday, September 8 against the prairie rival Saskatchewan Roughriders.
