Air Canada is set to offer In-Flight Wi-Fi across its North American fleet beginning in May 2014. Gogo Inflight Internet will be the providers of the service.
Pricing will be as follows:
- $5.00: 1-Hour Pass
- $14.00: All Day Pass (24 Hours)
- $49.95: Unlimited Monthly Internet on Gogo equipped Flights
The following Air Canada planes will be equipped with Gogo Wi-Fi beginning in May:
- Airbus A319, A320 and A321
- Embraer 190 fleet types
- Air Canada Express CRJ-705 and Embraer 175 aircraft
A total of 29 planes will get Wi-Fi by December 2015.
$5 for an hour of Wi-Fi is really great price. Testing for Gogo Satellite will also begin in May that will eventually provide international long-haul flights with Wi-Fi capabilities.
