Kelvin High School will soon see a new 10,000 square foot gym. It will include new changing facilities and an elevator to meet access requirements.
Kelvin High School’s student population is now over 1,200. Funding for the new gym will come from the province’s $50-million Active Schools Fund. This will be the 14th school to build or renovate gym space under the Active Schools Fund since 2011. Construction is expected to begin next year and be complted by December 2016.
