Sand Hills Casino, located just off Highway 5 between Winnipeg and Brandon and south of Carberry, will open on Monday, June 23, 2014.
The 31,000-square-foot casino will feature seven table games, 350 slot machines, and a restaurant and lounge. The theme of the casino is a ranch-style building.
At this point, Sand Hills will just be a Casino. Winnipeggers wanting to make it a ‘getaway’ from the city will have to find a hotel in Carberry or Brandon. Similar to South Beach Casino, it may eventually get a hotel built adjacent to it if it performs well.
