The Manitoba Museum, along with Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries, will host the province’s largest Manitoba Day celebration on Saturday, May 10, 2014.
They event will commemorate the 144th anniversary of when the Manitoba Act received royal assent, officially acknowledging the province as a part of Canada.
Festivities begin at 11:00am and running until 5:00pm at The Manitoba Museum. Activities include:
- Manitoba-themed events
- New Community Exhibit called We Are All Treaty People
- Free admission to the Museum Galleries
- Free admission to the Science Gallery
- Free admission to the Planetarium
- Cake-itoba
The event that we’ll be most excited for is Cake-itoba! Several local bakeries will contribute a Manitoba-themed cake which will be judged by the Museum visitors!
