Tim Hortons will be celebrating their 50th anniversary on Saturday, May 17, 2014 and they want to give everyone in Canada a FREE donut!
Simply head over to Tims on Saturday and receive a free donut, no purchase necessary!
Some fun facts about Tim Hortons:
- 1964: First Tim Hortons restaurant opens in Hamilton, Ontario. A coffee and donut cost $0.10.
- 1976: The first Timbit is served.
- 1984: 1st U.S. restaurant opens in Tonawanda, New York
- 1986: Tim Hortons begins its annual Roll Up The Rim contest
- 1995: Tim Hortons is purchased by Wendy’s International Inc.
- 1996: The first bagel is served.
- 2010: Tim Horton’s introduces breakfast sandwiches.
- 2011: Approximately two billion Tim Hortons coffees are sold every single year.
Expect longer than usual lines on May 17… but the free donut will be worth it!
