Winnipeggers will once again gather on Canada Day to create the annual Canada Day Living Flag.
Downtown BIZ is challenging Winnipeggers to assemble again to defend Winnipeg’s largest Living Flag title on Canada Day. The location of this year’s photo has been moved from the Manitoba Legislative Building to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
In 2013, nearly 3,500 people (photoed above) showed their national pride by standing shoulder to shoulder to form a Living Flag in front of the Manitoba Legislative Building.
Join thousands of Winnipeggers by wearing red and white to form a living flag! 2,000 specially designed t-shirts will be given away starting at 9am, July 1, 2014.
Date: July 1, 2014
Time: 9am, 11am photo will be taken
Location: The Forks in front of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (by the Scotiabank stage)
Walk-ups are welcomed but people are encouraged to register to also be entered to win various prizes. You can register here. Everyone registered will be emailed a photo after the event. [LIVING FLAG]
