The Canadian Museum for Human Rights will finally open its doors to the public on Saturday, September 20, 2014. Various opening weekend activities will be taking place. The whole weekend will be FREE. Regular paid admissions will begin on Saturday, September 27.
The opening weekend has been dubbed RightsFest and will offer events ranging from an open-air Canadian Concert for Human Rights starring nationally renowned musicians, to daytime activities and programs that explore and celebrate the rights and responsibilities Canadians share.

Events:
- Saturday, September 20 (evening): The Canadian Concert for Human Rights on an outdoor stage at The Forks
- Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21 (morning until late afternoon): More than 25 daytime performances and activities at multiple outdoor locations around The Forks
- Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21 (morning until late afternoon): Special free “preview tours” through select Museum galleries
Information on how to get free tickets for the special free preview tours will be announced in late August.
