Anyone who received photo radar speeding tickets issued between June 27 and July 1, 2014 in the construction zone on southbound Kenaston Blvd, south of Scurfield Boulevard should watch out for a letter in the mail. You may not be required to pay the fine under certain circumstances.
A batch of tickets issued during that period did not accurately reflect they were in a designated construction zone and also had an incorrect fine.
The province will issue a refund to anyone who has already fully or partially paid the fine for those incorrect tickets. If you were affected by the error, you’ll receive a letter in the mail.
If you don’t receive a letter, then you should continue to follow the instructions on your ticket.
To get more information about whether their ticket is affected, call 204-945-3156 or visit Manitoba Summary Convictions Court at 373 Broadway in Winnipeg.
