The rumour mill has been turning at full speed – and all signs are pointing to a Foot Locker House of Hoops coming to Polo Park Shopping Centre next year.
House of Hoops is a basketball-themed store from Nike and Foot Locker. The store usually features a hardwood basketball half-court with backboard. All things Nike Basketball can be purchased here including Nike Basketball, Air Jordan, Converse and Sport Culture products.
Winnipeg has a growing population of hardcore shoe collectors. Local organization Winnipeg Got Sole held a sneaker event earlier this year at the Bronx Park Community Centre. Hundreds of Winnipeggers showed up to buy, sell, and trade rare collectible sneakers.
House of Hoops releases exclusive limited edition products every three weeks for purchase. The Polo Park Foot Locker already sees long line ups (think Apple, XBOX One, PS4) when a new pair of Jordan’s are released.
At this point, nothing is confirmed. But the House of Hoops will be a welcomed addition to an already growing Winnipeg sneaker community.
