Another 14,489 addresses will move to Community Mailboxes by Fall 2015.
If your postal code starts with R2M and R2N, then you’re part of the next batch of addresses. Addresses in R2P, R2V, R2R and R2X have already been announced as well.
Surveys will arrive shortly to determine where the community mailboxes will go.
12,500 addresses in Winnipeg have already been converted as part of Phase 1.
There will be no change in delivery for:
- people living in apartment buildings, seniors’ buildings and condominiums who have mail delivered in the building lobby
- customers who have mail delivered to a rural mailbox at the end of a driveway
- business addresses if they are in well-established business areas, such as main streets or “business corridors,” or receive a relatively large volume of mail or parcels
