A reminder that legendary musician John Fogerty will once again play MTS Centre tonight in celebration of Creedence Clearwater Revival – 1969.
The coast-to-coast Canadian tour will kick off in St. John’s, Newfoundland on November 8. The tour celebrates 1969 – the year that Fogerty wrote and produced THREE albums with Creedence Clearwater Revival: BAYOU COUNTRY, GREEN RIVER, and WILLY AND THE POOR BOYS.
All of this musical output occurred while the world’s cultural and political landscape was in upheaval. 1969 was an extraordinary time. The show will be centered around this year, but also include his complete catalog of hits.
His latest album was released in 2013 and titled Wrote a Song for Everyone.
John was last in Winnipeg on June 1, 2009.
