The Manitoba Opera is opening up their season with Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Fidelio.
Fidelio was composed by Beethoven and is the only opera he had ever composed for. Fidelio will be sung in German, but will have English subtitles.
It’s story about love, courage and freedom where a women poses as a man to be with her husband who has been imprisoned.
There will be three shows held at Centennial Concert Hall:
- Saturday, November 22, 8pm
- Tuesday, November 25, 7pm
- Friday November 28, 8pm
