The MTS Centre will get a $12-million worth of upgrades that will be ready for the 2015-16 NHL season.
278 new premium loge seats will be installed in a single row around the full bowl and above the luxury suites. Each seat will be a 24-inch wide swivel chair in groups of three, four or six.
The seats will cost $134.40 per ticket, with a $500 seat licence added on the season ticket package. The new seats will first be made available to season ticket holders sitting in Row 1 of the 300 Level.
The biggest part of the $12-million upgrade will be the installation of a four screen high definition scoreboard hanging above centre ice.
The high-definition video scoreboard will be two and a half times bigger and have three times the resolution of the existing screens.
