Bars and Nightclubs in Manitoba will be open later during the FIFA Women’s World Cup and Jazz Fest.
The Liquor and Gaming Authority of Manitoba (LGA) will allow licensees to serve liquor until 3:00am during these special events. It will be up to the licensee to determine if they’ll stay open that late. All liquor service licensees who wish to extend service hours during these periods are required to notify the LGA.
The goal is to promote Winnpipeg’s hospitality during international tourism events which will see many visitors including teams, musicians, family members and fans from around the world.
The FIFA Women’s World Cup will have games played in Winnipeg from June 8 – 16, 2015. The Winnipeg Jazz Festival runs from June 11 – 21, 2015.
