Here’s former Winnipeg Blue Bomber, Jon Ryan, on NBC’s American Ninja Warrior. He was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and went to the University of Regina.
Jon Ryan is currently a punter in the NFL for the Seattle Seahawks. You might remember him from this spectacular fake fieldgoal play against the Green Bay Packers. That play helped the Seahawks get their second straight Superbowl appearance with Ryan.
In 2004, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers selected Ryan as the 24th overall pick in the Canadian College Draft. During his rookie season, Ryan finished second in punting average to Noel Prefontaine of the Toronto Argonauts.
In January 2006, he signed a contract with the NFL’s Green Bay Packers. He then moved to the Seattle Seahawks in 2008.
