A record of 500 teams have registered for the annual MTS Super-Spike volleyball tournament.
It beats last years registration record of 441 teams.
MTS Super-Spike, which takes place on Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18 at Maple Grove Rugby Park, is Western Canada’s largest outdoor/beach volleyball tournament.
Not a volleyball fan? Well it’s also a weekend-long concert set in a festival atmosphere. The event has raised over $800,000 in support of the Winnipeg based National Women’s Volleyball Team.
The Trews will be headlining this years MTS Super-Spike Main Stage on Saturday, July 18th, with Moses Mayes and The Family Funk Orchestra headlining on Friday, July 17th.
Tournament/team registration is now closed but weekend long concert and festival passes for non-tournament participants are still available and can be purchased on-line at www.superspike.ca for only $35.00.
