The Winnipeg Blue Bombers lost 27 – 20 to the Ottawa Redblacks last Saturday, but one lucky fan went home a big winner.
The Bombers determined that at the October 3rd game, a person who was ineligible to participate in the raffle purchased the winning 50/50 ticket. As a result, the prize was deemed to be unclaimed and was moved to the October 24 game.
The 50/50 at the October 24 game started at $100,00 and grew to $326,000. It beat the previous record set by the Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Banjo Bowl on September 12. That pot grew to $156,426.
The winning ticket (Ticket Number: M-280788) was awarded $163,000. The other half of the pot supports amateur football and other community programming in Manitoba.
If you have the winning number, you can contact the Bomber Office at 204-784-2583.
