There are numerous opportunities available to enjoy outdoor activities at City parks and facilities this holiday season. The City offers a wide range of outdoor amenities and locations for winter activities, sure to be fun for everyone.
Winter park amenities include: skating ponds, neighbourhood pleasure rinks, toboggan slides, hills and cross country ski trails.
Tobogganing
Kildonan Park, Waterfront Drive, Bunn’s Creek Park, St. Vital Park, Crescent Drive Park and Fraser’s Grove Park will have their toboggan slides open to the public for the holidays. Toboggan hills are open – slide at your own risk.

Skating
Visit the sparkling new St. Vital Duck Pond Pavilion and enjoy the view of the skating pond and the Ecobuage Bonfire Pit. Due to warm temperatures, ice skating surface may be limited.
This year, Peguis Pavilion Pond in Kildonan Park is open for skating. Please note that due to unseasonably warm temperatures, ice skating surface may be limited. Benches and picnic tables will be located around the rink. Stay long enough to enjoy some refreshments at the Pavilion restaurant.

Cross Country Skiing
Winter conditions have been favourable for ski-trail tracking. Trails are maintained weekly at Kildonan Park, Harbourview, St. Vital Park, La Barriere Park, and Living Prairie Museum.
