The City is installing high-resolution cameras at various locations throughout the city in order to address illegal dumping activities.
High-resolution CCTV technology will be used to identify vehicles or persons that are illegally dumping at priority sites. The cameras will be periodically moved from location to location. The specific locations of the cameras will be kept confidential.
The goal of this pilot project is to help develop and maintain safe, orderly, viable and sustainable communities and to promote and maintain the health, safety and well-being of Winnipeggers.
