Canada Post has extended its lockout notice to Monday, July 11 at 12:01am eastern time. They’ve stated that they’re willing to submit to binding arbitration to resolve the ongoing labour dispute.
Canada Post hopes the Canadian Union of Postal Workers will agree to the binding arbitration to prevent a service stoppage.
On the other side, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers has called for a 30-day truce to allow time to negotiate a new contract without a strike or lockout.
