The 2016 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic will be the hottest ticket in town when it plays at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg on Sunday, October 23, 2016.
The game will see the Winnipeg Jets play the Edmonton Oilers. It will be the first outdoor regular-season NHL game played in Winnipeg.
Also, as part of the 2016 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic, legendary players from both the Jets and Oilers will participate in a special alumni game on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
Wayne Gretzky will captain an Oilers alumni team that will feature Mark Messier, Jari Kurri and Paul Coffey. Dale Hawerchuk, who played for the original Jets franchise from 1981-90, will captain Winnipeg’s alumni captain that will feature Teemu Selanne.
How to get tickets
Tickets for the 2016 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic will go on sale to Winnipeg Jets Season Seat Holders on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. The tickets are sold as an event package and include tickets to both the Heritage Classic as well as the Alumni Game.
If you’re not a season ticket holder then your chances will be very slim. But there might be some hope…
Will seats be made available for Wait List Members and Share Partners?
Following the completion of the Season Seat Holder pre-sale, Winnipeg Jets Wait List Members and Registered Share Partners will have an opportunity to purchase up to two (2) 2016 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classicâ„¢ ticket packages based on the remaining available inventory.
Will ticket packages be made available to the general public?
Subject to availability, remaining ticket packages will be released by the NHL at a later date.
Remember, since this is an outdoor game at IG Field, 100 level seats will be the cheaper ones. Higher 200 level and 300 level seats that you give you a great view of the rink will cost a lot more.
