Grammy nominated Canadian indie rock band, Tegan and Sara, will return to Winnipeg this weekend on Saturday, September 10, 2016. They’ll be playing at the Centennial Concert Hall.

Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Keirsten Quin are identical twin sisters from Calgary, Alberta.

They began playing guitar and writing songs at age 15. They initially played as Plunk without a drummer or bass player. In 1997, they used their school’s recording studio to record two demo albums: Who’s in Your Band? and Play Day. In 1998, they won Calgary’s Garage Warz competition, using the studio time they won to record their first professional demo, Yellow tape, which was followed by Orange tape and Red tape.

Tegan and Sara’s Love You To Death, is the latest sonic chapter in a celebrated 17-year career that has seen them build an avid global following of fans and fellow musicians alike. Their unique ability to bridge the pop and indie worlds has allowed their music to cross boundaries of genre and culture effortlessly. This is a band that has performed comfortably alongside Katy Perry, Neil Young, Taylor Swift and The Killers, while also performed in the dusty desert at Coachella and on the pristine stage at the 2015 Academy Awards.

Tickets range from $26.00 – $40.50. [TICKETMASTER]
