Here’s your first look at the $155-million underpass that will be completed in 2019. The underpass will eliminate long traffic lineups at the railway crossing on Waverley Street and Taylor Avenue.
A city report says that around 30,000 vehicles and 40 trains go through the intersection every day.
During the 2-year construction, motorists will have to use a detour road next to Waverley Street. A rail detour for the trains will also be built.
