If you’ve always wanted to try Ice Fishing, then this is the weekend to do so! From Saturday, February 17 to Monday, February 19, 2018, Manitobans and visitors will be able to enjoy ice fishing without needing a Manitoba fishing licence (except in national parks where a federal licence is still required)
As an added bonus, entry to all Manitoba Provincial Parks is FREE for the entire month of February.
Anglers are reminded to be sure conditions are safe before venturing onto the ice. It is important to let someone know the fishing location and to wear appropriate clothing so the ice-fishing experience will be enjoyable.
A free fishing weekend will also offered in the summer.
