The Winnipeg Police Service estimates approximately 36,000 fans were in the downtown area to cheer on the Winnipeg Jets advancing to the second round.

Winnipeg Police reported no serious incidents either than 12 people arrested for public intoxication.
After the game, fans moved to Portage & Main to celebrate the victory. Police closed off the intersection to traffic for approximately 45 minutes to protect the fans. There were no arrests and no reports of property damage.
