On August 31, 2018, Winnipeg’s Red River Exhibition Park will be covered in over a million LED lights for Lights of the North, a Chinese Lantern Light Festival.
It’s to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the sister city twinning between Winnipeg and Chengdu, China. The attraction will run until October 14, 2018.
It will be the largest event of its kind to ever hit Canada. The giant exposition of Chinese lantern art (over 10 acres) will be sure to amaze! There will also be live performances by Chengdu acrobats and dancers.
