If you’ve always wanted to try Ice Fishing, then this is the weekend to do so! From Saturday, February 16 to Monday, February 18, 2019, Manitobans and visitors will be able to enjoy ice fishing without needing a Manitoba fishing licence (except in national parks where a federal licence is still required)
As an added bonus, entry to all Manitoba Provincial Parks is FREE for the entire month of February.
Anglers should be sure conditions are safe before venturing onto the ice, always let someone know where they are fishing and wear appropriate clothing for an enjoyable ice fishing experience.
A free fishing weekend will also offered in the summer.
