The 42nd Manitoba Provincial General Election Takes Place September 10

It’s almost time to vote! The 42nd Manitoba Provincial General Election takes place Tuesday, September 10, 2019.

How to Vote on Election Day

  • Election day voting hours: 7:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • Find your voting place. Your enumeration record tells you where to vote. If you don’t have an enumeration record, use the search tool or call Elections Manitoba at 204-945-3225.
  • If your name is on the voters list, you do not need to bring ID to the voting place however you will require another voter with ID from their electoral division to VOUCH for you.
  • If your name is not on the voters list, bring government-issued photo ID or two documents with your name.
  • Enter the voting place. An election worker will direct you to your voting station.
  • Tell the election worker at the voting station your name. If you are on the voters list, the election worker will strike your name off the list and give you a ballot.
  • If your name is not on the list, show the election worker your ID. You will have to take an oath confirming your identity. The election worker will give you a ballot.
  • Go behind the screen and mark an X beside the name of the candidate of your choice.
  • If you need assistance marking your ballot, an election worker can help you, or you can bring someone with you to help.
  • Return your folded ballot to the election worker. The election worker will check to see that his/her initials are on the ballot. You may then place your ballot in the box or the election worker will do it for you.
