If you do all your photo prints in-person at Costco, then you’ll be disappointed to hear that Costco has announced it will be closing all its photo departments across Canada.
All locations will be closed as of Sunday, February 14, 2021. Costco blames the need for printing photos seeing a deep decline due to the introduction of camera phones and social media, even though the number of pictures taken continues to grow.
On-site photo printing will no longer be available at Costco, however, personalize canvas, metal prints, photo books, greeting cards, calendars and other gifts will continue to be available through the Costco Photo Center website at CostcoPhotoCentre.ca.
Costco’s home movie video transfer, passport photos, custom framing & plaquing and ink cartridge refill services will no longer be available.
Any outstanding photo orders must be picked up by March 28, 2021.
