Amazon may be bumping up its Prime Day event this year to June 2021.

Last year, Prime Day was moved to October due to COVID-19. Though we are still in a pandemic, Amazon is ready to bring back Prime Day to the summer months. The online giant is targeting June for the 2021 event.

Amazon Prime Day started in 2015 and typically takes place in July. It’s Amazons take on Black Friday and Boxing Day. Statistically, summer months will see a decrease in shopping. Amazon used the event to drive sales and Prime membership signups.

If the June Amazon Prime Day plan doesn’t happen, then expect the event to once again take place in the fall.
