Winnipeg has a new movie theatre and entertainment complex! Doors will officially open on Friday, December 9, 2022 and is a re-imagining of Cineplex’s best-in-class guest experience by bringing together movies, amusement gaming, dining, and live performances under one roof, offering something for everyone.
Best of all, it opens in time for one of the most highly anticipated films of the year, Avatar: The Way of Water.

We can’t wait to welcome Winnipeggers to Cineplex Junxion Kildonan.”
The new theatre is a first-of-its-kind venue globally and spans a huge 35,000 square feet. There are six state-of-the-art auditoriums with every single seat being a recliner. The main auditorium will offer UltraAVX and D-BOX seats.
Within Cineplex Junxion Kildonan is a 4,100 square foot gaming area with over 50 amusement games, a party room, and a live entertainment space. All your favourite theatre food options will be available. The theatre is also fully licensed with a wide selection of beverages, including wines and premium beers.
The new location will replace Famous Players Kildonan Place previously at Kildonan Place mall.
